ASSAR Grants for Local Adaptation Support
The Grants for Local Adaptation Support (GLAS) fund was established in recognition of the need to go beyond academic capacity building within ASSAR in order to strengthen the capacities of those living and working in the ASSAR study sites. These special grants are intended to draw from findings of ongoing ASSAR research to support the most vulnerable groups in each region on overcoming top barriers to and supporting enablers of their adaptation. To implement these activities, ASSAR regional research teams collaborated with relevant local groups such as NGOs, faith-based organisations and others who have concrete experience working with vulnerable people, to result in more sustainable outcomes.
