The semi-arid regions of East Africa are among the most food-insecure regions in the world. This flyer looks at how Ethiopia and Kenya are studying adaptation methods to climate change using three research areas.

The first focus is land and water use/access. The second is linkages on higher scales, like the dynamics of pastoral mobility across larger-scale landscapes. Lastly the third looks at understanding how vulnerability, adaptive capacity and the implications of different adaptation responses are socially differentiated within the communities.
